Compassionate Care for Everyone

Life is difficult when you are coping with a terminal illness.  Try to imagine how much more difficult life can be when you are also poor, homeless, mentally or physically disabled, or alone.

A Couple: a couple smiling together

Friends Hospice serves all who desire our compassionate and highly competent care. Our unique calling is to care for all individuals and families facing terminal illness. Informed by the Quaker value of “that of God in everyone”, we care for people where their life has taken them and work to meet their unique needs.

Our program is particularly designed to be flexible in responding to the needs of all of our families - including providing care where many will not go, to those who are often forgotten.

Friends Hospice cares for individuals and families living with life-limiting illness:

  • In Philadelphia, the city of Chester and their immediate surroundings
  • Regardless of circumstance or insurance status
  • Ready to assist with the challenges and opportunities that people experience on their journey
  • In their home - whether a residence, facility, group home or other shelter
  • Understanding that each person has unique needs, desires and resources
