Volunteers' Corner

Friends Hospice Project relies on volunteers for all aspects of its program. Hospice volunteers are people of all colors, ages, religions, personalities, talents, and personal characteristics. We have a strong commitment to honoring the talents of each member of our community and are delighted that you are considering sharing yours with us.

Volunteers Are Needed For:

  •  Community education and outreach
  •  General office support
  •  Assist with fundraising and public relations efforts
  •  Provide bereavement support
  •  Support of hospice participants and their loved ones (running errands, preparing light meals, staying with a person to give family members a break, and lending emotional support and companionship)

What kind of time commitment is required?

There are volunteer opportunities that require as few as 2-3 hours per month or as much as half-time, or even full-time, work. Based on your availability and interests there is certain to be a volunteer position just right for you.

Not all volunteer opportunities are long term commitments. Can you help in either of these capacities?
